I'm writing for a cause.

This is Jenine, speaking. 

I'm a University student who love God very much. In my free time, I write articles that will inspire, encourage, uplift, and remind my fellow Christians about the gospels and the grace of God. I do not write without asking for God's wisdom first, so that I will not lose track of my purpose towards God. Dinner Date with Sister

Last week, June 16, my older sister and I went out for some dinner. Well, to me it was not really a dinner since I only ordered some drinks. Because my stomach was already full. Anyhoo, I took my sister out because I promised to treat her. It's always good to have some bonding time with your sister. Thanks God for giving me such a lovely, caring sister.

My Sister, Mitch. (Yum, yum!) She had two fried chickens! I do not have one!

A Lonely Park

There was a lone park beneath the flyover highway near our district. And long before, I was already craving over it. I mean, it was a short-time dream for me to stop over at that park and have a stroll. But I did not have the time to make it before for two reasons: (1) I did not have enough free time (2) I did not own a camera to capture the moment. But now that I do, well, I did not waste a time and hurried myself in that park. Take note: it is a lonely park, you may as well say, it's an abandoned one! But I think it's lovely. Perfect place to unwind. 

When I got there, there were only two persons that I saw. They're the janitors! See that lady wearing a white shirt? What I really love in this park is the eye-catching ancient stones built at the epicenter. I think it was supposed to be a water fountain, or it had been a fountain before, but now it is just merely rocks to me. But I love old styles, ancients, 1970s or something, and even vintage fashion, (which is why I named my blog vintageneen) that explains it. 

So I was walking unhurriedly along the old path walks. Man, did it have lots of fallen leaves? 

 

 A lonely road? I think. Coz I was the only person in that park at that moment, except for the two janitors, that is.

I find this photo weird. Oh well, it's the black ANT that I was actually trying to capture. But I'm not a pro, so it ended up like this. I think I messed this up. Haha. 

This is not a famous plant nor grass. But I love the green-ness of it, so I may as well post it here. 

That's a flyover road above the park, this explains why I always see this park whenever I ride on a jeepney. 

Loving Brother

This is my older brother, his name is Mychel. I am not featuring him in my blog just for nothing, or for randomness, but rather, I am featuring him this week because I am really proud and thankful that I'm his younger sister. My brother is currently working as a company nurse outside the country. Recently, he sent us  some gifts. In fact, in that photo he was writing his notes in the box, it read:

From: Sender
Don't submit it in the pawnshop, ok? Hehe.

It was a Sony Cyber-Shot digital camera. Model DSC-W570 made from Japan. It is such a great gift from my brother, and I never thought he would give me one! I am blessed to have him as my older brother.

Yesterday, we were chatting and man, did I miss him! 

I asked him, "Yah, after your 2 years contract, do you plan to live here in the Philippines for good? Or are you still going back abroad?"

He laughed while he answered, "Well, it depends if you (and my other siblings) are not going to tell me 'yah I need this and that'!"

I laughed. Well.

But I rather have him in the Philippines. That's for certain.

How glad I am,

How great indeed,

This in life to have you as friend.

Just exactly how...

shall I impart this warmth to you?

O' alas, more's the pity

Ocean, cosmic ocean, aye separates us,

then land is vast, so I, poor I,

look upon the sky, "Thou may be far,

while I is here, let us keep in mind:

I see the same such lovely sky,

the sky that You always see."

Oh such dearie,

such friendly friend, I shall make it clear:

"By mine eyes and by mine ears I swear,

to you my care will never die,

to you my love will never end.

My friend, my dearest friend."

Hence, my dearie friend,

hearken as I say,

"Friendship lasts forever."

Shall it comes to You and I.

Aye, my Dearie Friend. 

The Techno City

The Techno City

Genre: Science Fiction, Humor

The sky is wide and blue. Bright and colored lights are everywhere. It is peaceful but the atmosphere they breathe is something their noses could not deny to smell—contaminated. There is no traffic in the air, but cars are hovering non-stop over the buildings. Some are small, some are big and tall.

In the epicenter of the Techno City there stood the largest building, but no, it is not just a building. It is the palace of the Elite Government. The Techno Tower.

Billboards overpowered the banners. Foods are not naturally made. Everything is man-made, artificial, or if there is something beyond that.


There is no such thing as NATURE. Children cannot even define the word, people do not know it. They believed that a place like nature is just a legend. They only know the world they currently see – the exceptional technology of the Techno City, ruled by an extraordinary genius man named Mr. Zan Von Duor...a ruler that is unseen by everyone.

I Will Lead Them Home

There were two kids I saw when we were going down from the mountain during our tree planting...They were sitting on the cement and their eyes were curious and wide. I met the girl's eyes and somehow her eyes were feeling shy but sad, so without no doubt I went to them. My heart is always close to children...not only because I have younger siblings but also because children are very precious. 

I talked to them. But they were feeling shy. To them I was a total stranger. I do understand that feeling anyway. But to me, they made my exhausting adventure on top of the mountain very special on that tiring day. I do think they're cute. I love them. I love those who are specially sad and afraid. I'm so happy and thankful to the persons who took this photo, Kristel and Senz.

Their place was very far, not to mention that it was very hard and exhausting just to get there. I don't know if I would be able to go back there once again, since it was very hard for me to climb on that mountain...but then...I wish to see these two kids for once again. And I hope that when that happens, they will be able to SMILE back at me. 

Father, we will lead them home.....
